Hello 2015

One of  my many resolutions for this new year is to resurrect this site so I can regularly document Ahren's development and achievements.

Today, we went to our favorite hangout, Evia. I bought him a Geronimo Stilton book and had ice cream in Coldstone. While there, he started reading his new book.

Here is another shot of the little man.

Nowadays, I have a conscious effort to scour bookstores for Ahren's book stash every time I am out of the country.

Here are the books I got from Commercial Press on a recent trip to Hongkong:

Ahren is getting better at solving bigger numbers, as you can see, he still commits mistakes, but I don't mind that too much..I don't expect perfect scores especially since he's just starting to feel the groove and getting confident in answering bigger numbers.

He likewise did some spelling exercise. It's still a work in progress.

Officially welcoming summer!

Homeschool Saturdate

We were able to catch up on our activity backlog despite our four-day hiatus. Overall, I'm pleased with Ahren's progress in reading and comprehension. He's also good at answering analogies.

Ahren still has to build up his confidence in writing (but he has a nice penmanship) and spelling, so I devised a dictation activity for him. Hope it works out well.
